The Hearing Test Surprise

An older gentleman grew concerned that his wife's hearing was declining. He gently suggested she schedule a hearing evaluation, but she adamantly refused, insisting nothing was wrong.

Determined to prove his point, he devised a plan. He went upstairs, pulled out his phone to record evidence, and called down to the kitchen where he knew she was preparing dinner.

"Sweetheart, what are we having for supper?" he shouted clearly.

Silence.

He walked downstairs and called out again, louder this time. "Honey, what's for supper?"

Still nothing.

He moved into the living room and tried once more. "What are we having for supper?"

No response whatsoever.

He positioned himself just outside the kitchen doorway and called again. "What's for supper, dear?"

Complete silence.

Finally, he stepped directly behind her and asked firmly, "Honey, what are we having for supper?!"

She spun around, exasperated. "Good grief, Harold! For the fifth time—CHICKEN!"
